| THE PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL CAPACITY AND CRITERIA OF THE DALIAN GULF AREA |

| Abstract: |
| The present investigation covers various aspects of the environmental pollution and comprehensive treatment of the Dalian Gulf Area. The relevant standard of regional emission of pollutant of the area is also mentioned. Briefly the environmental capacity and the mathematical model, the calculated results, discussion and analysis of the target value, the total mission of the main pollutant and the environmental standard in the sea of the Dalian Gulf Area and a conclusion are given. The author emphasizes that the environmental capacity depends on the ability of the environmental self-purification. The microcosmic method seems unsuitable for the study of the ability of the environmental self-purification. The macroscopical method with a larger scale of time and space is able to define the environmental capacity, to give the total pollutant mission, and upon which to decide the regional environmental standard. |
