A SIMULATION STUDY ON DEGRADATION OF PETROLEUM HYDROCARBONS IN BAYS AND RIVER
Abstract:
Simulation experiments indicated that the main process of degradation of petroleum hydrocarbons were evaporation and microbial oxidation in sea and river waters. In Jiaozhou bay, Raritan bay and Second Songhuajang river water petroleum hydrocarbons were reduced by 53%, 58% and 44% respectively in four weeks.
