| THE DISTRIBUTION CHARACTERISTICS IN SEA WATER AND THE ACCUMULATION IN BENTHIC ORGANISM OF 666 (BHC) IN THE NEARSHORE OF EAST GUANGDONG PROVINCE |

| Abstract: |
| The paper analyzes the distribution characteristics of 666 in seawater and its relationship with the accumulation of 666 in the benthic organism in the Nearshore of East Guangdong Province. The result shows that the concentration of 666 in the seawater is higher in the west part than in the east part and decreases gradually from inshore to offshore. During flood period, the distribution of 666 was evidently affected by run-off of he Pearl River. The concentrations of 666 in the area with lower than 30‰ salinity are almost all higher than 0.10 μg/l. And the samples of all sorts of benthic organisms with higher content of 666 always appear in the area where the 666 in the seawater is also higher. Regression and correlativity analysis show that the relation of 666 concentration in the water to that in benthic organisms and to environmental factors are as follows: i. The dilution, diffusion and movement of 666 were evidently affected by water movement. ii. The accumulation of 666 in the benthic organism has a close relation with the concentration of 666 in the water. |
