Abstract:
Determination of recent sedimentation rates by 210Pb method for sediment cores of K8-3, K22-4, K31-1, and L3-6 in South China Sea shows that the high rate of sedimentation is about 0.47 cm/yr and the low rate of sedimentation is about 0.19 cm/yr. The flux of sediment is from 0.26 to 0.51 g/cm2/yr. The sedimentary environments and the sedimentation in south China Sea are discussed.
