A PRELIMINARY STUDY ON FEEDS AND FEEDING METHODS FOR PENAEUS ORIENTALIS KISHINOUYE

Abstract:

This paper deals with the efficiency of different feeding methods for the penaeid shrimp-penaeus orientalis kishinouye. It was found that "feeding every other day" or "two day feeding followed by two day starving" showed more efficient than "two day feeding followed by one day starving" , "three day feeding followed by two day starving" and "three day feeding followed by one day starving". As compared with mentioned above feeding methods, "feeding every day" was the worst.
