STUDY OF RELATIONSHIPS AMONG MARINE LUMINOUS BACTERIA BY OUCHTERLONY DOUBLE DIFFUSION PROCEDURE
Abstract:
Antigenic determinant divergence of superoxide dismutases (SODs) from 16 strains of marine luminous bacteria was determined by Ouchterlony double diffusion procedure. Results: 16 strains of bacteria were divided into two groups, the genus Vibrio and the Photobacterium. These were in agreement with our former classification based on phenotype, in which V. fischeri and V.logei were assigned to genus Vibrio.
