A MODIFIED LAMINARIA SUMMER SPORELINGS CULTIVATION METHOD-MORE ON THE ROT DISEASE OF LAMINARIA SUMMER SPORELINGS

Abstract:

In this paper，we report a modified method on the cultivation of Haidai by summering; young sporophytes. This modified process may be divided into three periods. The first period is cultivation of gametophytes, the second period is storage of gametophytes at low temperature (0°-2℃) in dark condition and standing sea water without changing, the thirdperiod is cultivation of sporelings. This modified method has some advantages, economic in operature and fertilizers, improving the laboring conditions and so on. The rot disease of Laminaria summer sporelings is also discussed.
