THE HUANGHE RIVER DELTA SYSTEM

Abstract:

Owing to the frequent shifting of its distributary mouth the Huanghe River has a gigantic complex delta system. The system is of a superimposed multi-structure of both Bohai and Huanghai Seas. The multi-structure delta was formed in the period of stable drainage. The authors think that the formation and evolution of the Huanghe River Delta can be better understood if the various delta are taken as one system.
