Abstract:
An acute exposure experiment of Cr6+ on Nibea japonica was carried out in a semi-static biological test method. The abnormal rates of micronucleus and nuclear in peripheral blood cell, and the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) in liver were determined in 6, 12, 24, 72 and 96h respectively. The results show that the erythrocyte micronucleus rates and nuclear abnormal rates exposed to Cr6+ solution at different concentrations were significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.05). The nucleus abnormal rates were commonly higher than micronucleus rate at the same Cr6+ concentration. The activities of SOD and CAT had no significant change in the control group during the experiment (P>0.05). Compared with the control group, activities of SOD and CAT had greatly changed in the test groups (P<0.05), which represented a tendency from increase todecrease and to increase again within 96 hours.
