夜光藻的不等分裂

摘要:
1993年3月26日在大鹏湾进行赤潮调查时,对所采获的夜光藻进行室内培养实验。结果观察到夜光藻在无性繁殖时的一种不等分裂方式,而且在分裂过程中食物泡没有消失。认为这种分裂方式对于夜光藻种群在特定条件下的增长可能更为有效和迅速。

Abstract:
Samples of Noctiluca scinillans were taken from Dapeng Bay, Guangdong, in March 26, 1993. Under experimental conditions. the mother cell of Noctiluca scintillans divided into two unequal daughter cells, both of which in some cases contained food vacuoles during its asexual reproductive process. It is considered that reproduction of a smaller cell by a bigger cell is a remarkably effective and rapid way to increase individual numbers for the population. The findings could explain why the population structure of Noctiluca scintillans is always composed of different-sized cells and the very rapid formation of red tide of Noctiluca scintillans under favorable conditions.
