Abstract: |
Selenium in kelps was determined by use of Microwave Digestion - Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry. Indium was used as internal standard element to calibrate the results of determination of Selenium. The detection limit of Selenium was 0.143ug/L. and the recovery of In was in the range of 86.7% ~ 114.5%, which showed that the method was sensitive, accurate and credible. The Selenium-enriched kelp samples were divided into upper, middle and lower parts and the Selenium values in different parts (dry weight) were 2260.5 ppm, 2287.5ppm and 1890.0ppm respectively. This showed that the various parts of kelps were able to enrich selenium. Step-by-step extraction was used to extract selenium from kelps. The result was that selenium in inorganic and small organic molecule was higher than that in lipid and protein parts. |
