| 海马的繁殖方式很特殊,对其育儿袋的生理和胚胎发育对环境的要求有人曾作过一些研究,但并未对其形态进行描述。T.B.尼科里斯基的《分门鱼类学》一书以及日本学者对日本海马繁殖的观察,均曾提到孵化后的幼鱼情况,然而资料很零星。除此之外,对海马胚胎发育的描述,尚未见有报道。为了对这种特殊繁殖方式的胚胎发育的特点有所了解,为海马养殖提供必要的资料,我们对三斑海马(Hippocampus Trimaculatus)的胚胎发育及其与温度的关系进行了观察和试验。结果如下。

胚胎发育的观察方法是:将交配受卵的雄体隔离饲养,然后,每隔一定时间从育儿袋中取出卵子进行观察;有的卵子在体外培育观察。 |

| According to the morphological and physiological characteristics, the developmental period from the fertilization to the larval fish just produced is divided into eight stages.
Unfertilizated eggs are long ellipsoid in shape with one being bigger and the other smallar. The cytoplasm is gradually accumulated at the animal pole after fertilization. These eggs change into spherical shape two hours and forty minutes after fertilization at the temperature of about 28-29℃.
The process of the cleavage and the gastrulation is the same as that of the ordinary fish. The oil globules are gradually accumulated towards the animal pole before gastrulation and then slowly move to the vegetable pole.
In six days after fertilization, the length of the tail gets slightly longer than the body.The embryo is hatched out by another half day or one day. During the same period, the caudal-fin membrane is also formed, which is gradually degenerated on the second day after the larva is released.
The incubation period is 19days at 22.5士0.5℃,16 days at 24 士0.5℃ and 11 days at 28.5 +0.5℃. The most optimum temperature range for its brooding is roughly from26°Cto30°C. |
