| 藤壶属节肢动物门甲壳纲蔓足目，种类很多，分布亦广。布纹藤壶(Balanus amphitrite communis Darwin) 是附生于船底的一种。它是青岛附近海区船底附着生物中最多而又最顽强的种类之一，为害甚大。防止它的附着或生长是航运和军事部门的共同要求，了解它的生活史为防除工作提供必要的资料，便成为目前急需进行的课题。 |

| Abstract: |
| The barnac1e Balanus amphitrite communis Darwin is one of the most serious marine fouling organisms found in the vicinity of Tsingtao. Its breeding season begins at the middle of May when water temperature rises above 16℃ and continues up to the end of December. Maturation of the gonad of each individual is periodic at intervals of about 2-3 weeks. It is longer in the early summer while the temperature is lower and becomes shorter in September. In winter, even the gonad is atrophic, breeding cycle may be rcstored if they are reared in 26℃ water for about one month. Temperature is onc of the most important factor influencing the breeding cycle of this species. |
